Bob Simpson is the founding partner of Brinker, Simpson & Company. He earned his undergraduate degree in Accounting from LaSalle University, and a Masters of Science in Taxation from Widener University. Bob has been the Managing Partner of the firm since 1991, and has guided the firm through two acquisitions. Bob is a member of the AICPA, PICPA, Pennsylvania Society of Public Accountants and National Public Accounting Association.
His responsibilities include firm administration and policies, external reporting activities and the management and oversight of the staff's involvement in attest, consulting, and tax series engagements. Bob designs the firm's continuing education programs, and has led several seminars for clients in such areas as "Real Estate investing," "Planning for College Costs," "Benefit planning," and other internally developed seminars.
He participates in many career day events at local high schools and universities and sits on several non-profit boards. Bob was elected Auditor of Springfield Township in 2007.
Bob and his wife Eileen and their three children reside in Springfield.

MATTHEW F. MINGEY, CPA

Matt joined Brinker, Simpson and Company in 1992 and became a Partner of the firm in 2002. Matt graduated from Saint Joseph's University where he received a Bachelor's of Science degree in Accounting. Matt concentrates his practice on auditing, review and compilation engagements and tax compliance for business and individual clients.
Matt is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accounts, Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Pennsylvania Society of Public Accountants and an Associate Membership with the Association of Fraud Examiners.
He also serves as Treasurer for Keystone Charities Fund, a non profit organization formed to help children with medical needs and issues, and is the founding President of The Springfield Community Development Corporation, a non profit organization formed to maintain and improve the quality of life for all residents of Springfield.
Matt currently resides in Springfield with his wife Susan and children Matthew Jr. and Alexis.

Anthony Mitchell has over thirty years of accounting, auditing and tax experience providing high quality, proactive and personalized service to a wide variety of clients ranging from small to mid-size companies in various industries. His background in public accounting gives him a unique perspective into the financial, tax and business needs of owners that enables him to deliver strategic business and tax planning advice tailored to the owner's specific goals and current needs. He has been a CPA for over twenty-five years and is an active member of both the American and Pennsylvania Institute of CPA's. He received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from Villanova University. Anthony resides in Havertown, Pennsylvania with his wife Mary Ellen, a reading specialist, and three daughters.

Linda Scafiro has twenty five plus years experience in public accounting, serving a range of clients from sole proprietors to large privately owned businesses with locations in multiple states. She has provided all aspects of public accounting and tax services to clients ranging from small to mid-size closely held companies in various industries, with a concentration in the healthcare accounting industry. Linda's career in public accounting gives her the expertise to assist business owners with their startup, growth, financial, tax and planning needs. Linda graduated from LaSalle University in Philadelphia with a Bachelor of Science Degree in accounting. She has been a Certified Public Accountant since 1990, and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Linda, her husband Joe and children live in Cinnaminson, New Jersey.

Michael joined Brinker, Simpson and Company in 1995 and became a Partner of our CPA firm in 2002. He graduated with a Bachelor's of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from LaSalle University. His emphasis includes tax and business consulting. He frequently consults with clients on such matters as income tax planning, financial and retirement planning, general business planning and succession planning.
Michael serves as treasurer for events sponsored by the alumni association of his Alma matter, Cardinal O'Hara High School. He is President of the Springfield Country Club's Golf Advisory Board; Committeeman for Springfield Township; Member of Holy Parish Counsel; and founding member of PROS (Professional Referral Organization of Springfield). Michael also sits on the Executive Board of The Stewards' Alliance.
Michael and his wife Mary live in Springfield with their two children.

Robert F. Ruley, CPA is a 1973 graduate of Saint Joseph's University. He earned his CPA designation at the start of his career with the international accounting firm of Deloitte & Touche.
Mr. Ruley has experience with large and small publicly and privately owned companies in the following industries: heavy manufacturing, food markets, vehicle dealerships, banks, retail, wholesale, insurance, distribution, health care and many types of not-for-profit organizations.
Mr. Ruley joined a local CPA firm in 1982 and was responsible for accounting, auditing, tax, financial planning and computer systems analysis for many of their clients. In September 1995, Ruley, Kontaras & Co., P.C was created and served a client base consisting of closely held businesses, high net worth individuals, and non profit enterprises. In October 2011, Ruley Kontaras was acquired by Brinker, Simpson & Company, LLC. Mr. Ruley is currently serving as Consultant for the firm.

ANDREW P. BRENNER, CPA

Andrew has 10 years of experience in both public accounting and industry. Prior to rejoining Brinker, Simpson & Company, LLC (where he began his career) he worked for an international accounting and business advisory firm where he was a tax compliance specialist for multi-state pass through entities and high net worth individuals. Primarily he worked on clients in the professional service and manufacturing industries. Andrew was also an Assistant Controller for a regional engineering company in the Greater Philadelphia Area where he was tasked with GAAP compliance, internal controls, banking, and budgeting and variance analysis.
At Brinker, Simpson & Company, LLC Andrew's responsibilities include federal and state tax planning and compliance for small and middle market businesses and individuals. He also leads staff in performing audit, review and compilation of financial statements and other business consulting engagements. Andrew earned his undergraduate degree from Arcadia University. He is a member of the AICPA and PICPA where he sits on the Emerging CPAs Committee. Andrew and his wife Margaret reside in Glenside with their 2 children.

Denise is a Manager for Brinker, Simpson & Company. She has 14 years of experience in public accounting and graduated Cum Laude from Villanova University where she received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accountancy. Denise's extensive accounting and auditing practice includes 401K audits and both corporate and individual tax preparation for the construction, manufacturing, professional and financial service industries. Denise, her husband and two children live in Broomall.

Aimee is a regular volunteer for PICPA sponsored events to assist individuals in tax preparation.

She is also a member of the Association for Accounting Marketing.

Kerri has previously worked for Main Line Health as a staff accountant and as a bookkeeper for several small businesses in Delaware County. Kerri is currently pursuing her CPA licensing. She lives with her husband and children in Drexel Hill.

Anne is the lead Administrative Assistant and is responsible for client relations and development, processing of firm correspondence and tax returns, financial statement preparation and development of firm operating systems. She received her Notary Public license in 2007 and offers notary services. Anne also facilitates the firm's annual Adopt-A-Family program.

Kellie has 11 years experience supporting client services and is responsible for client relations and development, processing of firm correspondence, payroll and sales tax filings, assembly of individual and corporate tax returns and financial statement preparation.
Prior to working in the accounting field, Kellie had fifteen years working in the hotel and tourism industry. She resides in Media with her husband, Darryl, and two sons. Kellie has served as treasurer for Cub Scouts and volunteers with a local Cat rescue organization.
