In partnership with The Philadelphia Inquirer, Brinker Simpson & Company, LLC is a 2026 Philadelphia Top Workplaces winner, one of only 63 organizations with fewer than 150 employees recognized across the Philadelphia and Delaware Valley region.
The award is based solely on employee feedback. The program is run by Exton-based Energage, which administers a confidential workplace survey and scores organizations against national benchmarks built from more than 23 million surveys at over 70,000 organizations. There is no application, no fee to participate, and no cost to earn the recognition. More than 61 Brinker Simpson & Company employees completed the survey.
A total of 172 employers across all size categories earned recognition for 2026. Winners were announced in alphabetical order on June 21, with rankings by size category going live September 20, 2026.
"Our people took the time to answer honestly, and this is the result," said Michael Simpson, CPA, CVA, Managing Partner. "Recognition like this only counts when it comes from the people doing the work."
At a moment when much of the accounting profession is consolidating under private equity ownership, Brinker Simpson & Company remains independent and locally owned. The firm has built its practice across tax, audit and assurance, client accounting services, and consulting and advisory, serving closely held businesses and their owners throughout the Delaware Valley.
"Independence is not a slogan for us, it is a staffing model," Simpson added. "People stay because they can see a path here, and that is what showed up in the survey."
