Dear Friends and Clients,
It is with a heavy heart that I share the passing of our partner, Matt Mingey, Sr., CPA, CFE.
Matt was one of the original members of Brinker Simpson & Company. He was the first employee hired in 1991, became a partner in 2002, and helped grow our firm from three people into what it is today. For more than three decades, he led our financial and technology operations and worked directly alongside many of you.
His impact on this firm, our clients, and the people in it cannot be overstated.
Those who worked with Matt knew his quiet way. He was kind and generous without ever seeking credit for it, the kind of person who showed up, helped where he could, and let his actions speak for him. He gave that same generosity to A.A.L.I.V.E., a grassroots organization that creates socialization and awareness opportunities for the adult special needs community. It reflected exactly who he was.
He was an exceptional friend and co-worker to us all. We are heartbroken. Our thoughts are with Matt's wife Susan, his daughter Lexi, his son and our colleague Matt Jr., and the entire Mingey family.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation Wednesday, June 24, 2026 6:00pm O'Leary Funeral Home, 640 E. Springfield Rd. Springfield, PA 19064 and Thursday morning 9:30am St. Kevin Church, 200 W. Sproul Rd. Springfield, PA 19064. Funeral Mass Thursday 10:30am in the Church. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Matt’s memory to A.A.L.I.V.E. (www.AALIVE.org/donate), where he served on the board for many years.
