Amid the growing humanitarian crisis in Ukraine, companies are stepping up to donate to relief efforts. In March, Brinker Simpson was proud to donate $6,631 as part of the Firm's Dress Down Day collection.
Adam Thurstlic, CPA, a Manager in our Audit and Assurance department, led the charge to support his Ukrainian roots and client, N-Trans Inc., where the owner and most employees are first-generation Ukrainian immigrants.
Proceeds benefitted the Ukrainian National Woman's League of America (UNWLA), Philadelphia Regional Council. Funds will go toward UNWLA humanitarian efforts, including four military hospitals serving wounded warriors and displaced and wounded civilians, primarily women and children.
"The events in Ukraine are devastating," said Managing Partner Bob Simpson, CPA, MST. "It was nice to see our employees show interest in helping the people of Ukraine - it's a great cause. I'm very proud of the Firm and all of our employees who went above and beyond to contribute and show their support."
A special thank you to Olga Mykhaylyuk, UNWLA Philadelphia Regional Council President. For more information about the UNWLA and how to support the Ukrainian community, visit www.UNWLA.org.
