Brinker Simpson & Company, LLC, the region’s leading accounting and financial advisory firm, is pleased to welcome Georgelian “Georgie” Ortiz to the team as a Tax Associate.

Georgie first joined Brinker Simpson as an intern during the busy season, where he quickly made a positive impression through his attention to detail, initiative, and strong work ethic. During his internship, he assisted with individual tax return preparation, bookkeeping, and account reconciliations, while gaining hands-on experience with QuickBooks, UltraTax CS, and Microsoft Excel.

“Georgie brings enthusiasm, professionalism, and a genuine curiosity to every project he’s part of,” said Managing Partner Michael Simpson, CPA, CVA. “He was a standout as an intern, and we’re excited to see him continue to grow with the firm.”

Georgie earned his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Neumann University, graduating in May 2025. He is also a member of the National Society of Leadership and Success. Georgie looks forward to continuing to build his career at Brinker Simpson, supporting clients, and contributing to the firm’s collaborative culture.
