ABOUT MICHAEL SIMPSON

Michael Simpson joined Brinker Simpson & Company in 1995 and has been a Partner since 2002. Michael was appointed Managing Partner on July 1, 2022, becoming the 2nd Managing Partner in the history of the firm, succeeding founder Bob Simpson, CPA, MST.

As managing partner, Michael is responsible for the strategic planning, direction of the firm, sourcing opportunities for growth, and the quality of the practice. He also focuses on the development of the partners and professional and administrative staff.

Michael began his career at Brinker Simpson as an intern in 1993 and went full-time in 1995 after graduating from La Salle University with a bachelor's degree in Accounting. Michael leads the firm's business valuation and tax and business consulting services. He currently provides taxation and management consulting services for clients in various industries, including construction, commercial real estate, membership organizations, and professional services.

His client emphasis includes business valuation and tax and business consulting. Michael frequently consults with his clients on income tax planning, financial and retirement planning, general business planning, and succession planning. His client base ranges from start-ups to mid-sized privately-owned businesses in various industries, including construction, commercial real estate, membership organizations, and professional services.

Having spent his entire career devoted to public accounting and being an active member of the Brinker Simpson management team, Michael is proud to have built and maintained many long-standing relationships with clients over the years.
